Shannon Cochrane (f. 1972) undersöker minnen av vardagliga händelser och situationer i sin konst tillsammans med publiken. Social interaktion och reflexivitet är viktigt för Cochranes verk och hon eftersträvar en dialog om konst och vem som är konstnär. Hon iscensätter ett socialt rum för oväntade rörelser och beteenden, där nya band och relationer kan skapas. Som administrativ och konstnärlig chef på FADO – Performance Art Center i Toronto arbetar Cochrane ständigt med att ge plats och utrymme för performancekonst och hon har dessutom varit med och startat performancekonstfestivalen 7a*11d, även den i Toronto.

Shannon Cochrane (b. 1972) analyzes the memory of everyday events and situations in her art, often working with the audience. Social interaction and reflexivity are vital ingredients in Cochrane’s works, and she strives for a dialogue on art and the role of the artist. She stages a social space for unexpected movements and behaviour patterns where new connections and relationships can arise. Shannon is the Artistic and Administrative Director of FADO Performance Art Centre and is a founding member, co-curator and organizer of the 7a*11 International Festival of Performance Art in Toronto.
